Seven Rosemont runners ran on the last day of the USATF Road Grand Prix Series (Philadelphia Marathon, ? Marathon, and Rothmann 8k), helping the club score its highest total in club history, 2903.557 points. While we finished in the same place as in 2007 (6th), we scored almost 1,200 more points than last year. We also had 3 runners in the top 20 overall in the individual Grand Prix competitions, Gene Dykes (8th overall male, 5th 55-59) Hilary Dykes (11th overall female, 1st 15-19), and Derek Schultz (15th overall male, 1st 25-29). In addition, our young runners did very well. Katie Schneider was 55th overall female and 1st in the 10-14 group, Spencer Latran was 127th overall male and 1st in the 10-14 group, while Owen Phelan was 131st overall male and 2nd in the 10-14 group. Congratulations and thanks to all who participated; we?re looking forward to an even better season in 2009!
